“Do not judge me by my successes, judge me by how many times I fell down and got back up again.” - Nelson Mandela
Failure and success are part of life. Life cannot always be a bed of roses. Failure leaves a deep impression of loss, agony and abandonment behind it where on the other side Success is highly appreciated among the world. But remember that not all the Successful people we hear today have crossed their journey of success without facing failure. Failure is that component which takes a person one step closer to success. Failure is that juncture which leads us to a right path. Failure is that journey which answers many mysteries. People who appreciate and accept failure have succeeded and overcome the major obstacles of their life.
The question which arises to everyone is, Why do we fail? Why don't I get Success in my work? Why am I lagging behind my colleagues? Why am I not able to crack this exam? Why why why? Is the question which surrounds us and disturbs us more than our failure can.
We start to feel sorry for ourselves, with shattered dreams in front. A feeling of rejection from society starts to grow in us, ultimately pulling our morale more down.
As wisely said by Marilyn Monroe,
“Just because you fail once, doesn’t mean you’re gonna fail at everything. Keep trying, hold on, and always, always, always believe in yourself, because if you don’t, then who will, sweetie?”
The above statement itself is enough motivation for us to get up and get going, conquer the things which you failed in, grab your dreams and be prosperous.
Below are the 7 factors that leads to our failure:
1. INCOMPETENCY:
The World is full of varied competencies. Everyday there is a new challenge awaiting us. Every profession requires different kinds of skill sets. There are thousands and lakhs of people competing with us. So we need to have efficient skills and knowledge to perform any specific action. Lack of this skills and knowledge leads to failure
2. LACK OF INTEREST:
Interest is that factor which is the most required to excel any task or action. Interest is driven by Passion. We need to have craze and passion for something very specific to achieve success. Interest without a passion is futile. Majority of us are facing failure due to lack of interest.
3. INCOMPLETE KNOWLEDGE:
Incomplete knowledge is always dangerous. One needs to know the background and the present scenario of the chosen task. One needs to keep self updated on recent changes and advancements happening around in the specific area of our interest. Every in and out of our interest area we should be aware about.
4. ILL PREPARATION:
Lack of enough knowledge of preparation leads to failure. In-depth knowledge of specific interest areas is very important before executing the task. We need to work on all the pros and cons of any task before we begin. The factors that might affect our task, consequences, advantages and disadvantages etc should be crystal clear to avoid any form of failure.
5. PERSONAL COMMITMENTS:
Emotions play a major role as obstacles for achieving Success. Emotions drive us away from our goal. And in the process of making our surroundings, our family's, our friends happy, we lose the ability to create happiness for ourselves. Commitment becomes a barrier for us in such a way that we can't even afford to avoid it. We seek happiness in others' smiles.
6. LOW TIME INVESTMENT:
Nothing will work best for you when you just keep your plans in a closed book, and not perform any action. Planning once done has to be executed in an orderly manner with proper investment of time wherever and whenever required. One cannot wait for success to come it's way without having spent time to gain it. One should plan in such a way that you give maximum time for processing and executing your task.
7. UNSTRUCTURED PLAN OF ACTION:
A poor plan of action is the major contributing factor for failure. Plan of action, i.e.; What do you want to do? And how do you want to do it? Should be very clear and step wise so that every day you get a clear direction without getting confused. Making a flowchart makes our things quite easy for execution. Structured plan of action leads a person to reach near the goal more early as compared to unstructured plan of action.
If we work upon to overcome all these factors then success is truly ours. Because failure is not the end of achievements but the beginning of your Action and Actions only will bring glory to your name.
At this juncture it would be very wise to appreciate the invention of incandescent light bulb by Sir Thomas Alva Edison, who says,
I have not failed, I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work.”
What words of encouragement, very true positive reinforcement and inspiration for all of us. These words of Sir Edison imbibes the true spirit of taking everything in positivity to lit lights to our life and keep it glowing always. Whatever happens, happen for our best.
Lets try our best to learn from our failures and give our best in everything that we do. All the Best!!!!!
Ending the article by encouraging great words said by the legendary scientist Dr. A.P.J ABDUL KALAM,
IF YOU FAIL, NEVER GIVE UP BECAUSE FAIL MEANS “FIRST ATTEMPT IN LEARNING”
