'Feeling sorry for yourself, and your present condition is not only a waste of energy but the worst habit you could possibly have'.

A Habit is a routine of behavior that is repeated regularly and tends to occur subconsciously.
The American Journal of Psychology (1903) defined a "habit, from the standpoint of psychology, as a more or less fixed way of thinking, willing, or feeling acquired through previous repetition of a mental experience."
Habitual behavior often goes unnoticed in persons exhibiting it, because a person does not need to engage in self-analysis when undertaking routine tasks. Old habits are hard to break and new habits are hard to form.

Change should be encouraged in every step to boost the performance indicator. Change in your way of understanding a particular thing, change in the way of your working style, change in the way you dress up, change in the way of your thinking etc.
2. Accept the Diversity around you:
Soon after schooling we enter college life and then later we step into work life, in this journey of ours we come across millions of people around us with different cultures, different religions, different social backgrounds. Few develop good relations, whereas few are always at the opposite poles. The best way to be approachable is to accept everyone with love irrespective of their background. Appreciate the diversity seen around you.
3. Stay Healthy:
Lifestyle of a person is greatly affected soon after they finish schooling. Stressful work, Night outs to finish our work, tension roaring if work remains incomplete, Absent minded, forgetting things easily etc are some factors which affects our health. If we establish the habit of practising Yoga and Meditation early in the morning, it helps to boost our morale and keeps us at peace of mind.
4. Possess Humility: One should be modest and respectful. One should know the fact that you 'don't know it all'. Experienced professionals and Administrators are always ready to guide and share the wisdom that they possess who are passionate about doing it.
5. Seek Help: At times we feel embarrassed and shy to ask for help. The thought, that what other people will think about me if I do it this way or if I ask such stupid and silly questions. Remember always that when we ask for help, it will help us to clear our doubts though it be a silly one. Because it requires enough courage to stand among the crowd and ask for help. Never be over smart and avoid taking help.
6. Be healthy friendships: The one thing which is common after schooling that we easily fall prey to bad friendship, dragging us towards disturbed life, loss of attention towards our work, and leading us towards failure. Be smart and choose smart friends who can guide you and stay by you in all your ups and downs.
7. Manage Time: Students and working professionals fail to achieve success because they do not utilise the ample time available in their hand. Lack of proper planning and mismanagement leads to wastage of time. Time once gone can never come back. One should learn to make daily routine task chart and allot the time properly so that much of the time is utilised in doing constructive things. And at the end of the day you satisfied that you have achieved what you planned for.
8. Judge your Behaviour: Our Behaviour towards other reveals most the hidden thought that we have towards a particular person. Our behaviour towards others should be very subtle so that no person should be hurted because of our ill treatment and misbehavior. Greet every one in your circle with a warm message so that you are capable enough of making someone's else day too. Always have a habit of going back and recollecting if you misbehaved with anyone irrespective of any reason, go back to that person and say 'Sorry' and experience the wonders.
9. Be a hidden topper: Most Students and working professionals carry a tag of being so talented, scholar, or smart etc. that we feel uncomfortable to express our hidden talents. Remember friends, always keep yourself at the bay, don't get disturbed with such people but focus on to give your best in everything. Don't get discouraged or underestimate yourself. Every one is blessed with a unique talent. Try your best everytime. Hard work and consistency towards our goal will definitely help you to be a hidden topper.
10. Learn lessons from your competitors: Competition is everywhere and one has to cross this phase with their unique skills. One should be very careful observer towards the working style and skills of their competitor. Our competitors have a lot to teach us. And One never mock the competitors but be very close and friendly with them to learn things very easily and directly.
I know these are just the tip of an iceberg. But definitely will help you to achieve greater success if practised with full dedication and devotion in your everyday life.
