The days are running too fast.
School? College? Coaching Classes? Hobby Classes? Activities? So many more !!!!
I want to do many things but don't know how to manage so many things at one time.
I am not getting enough time to study, to rest, and to chill out !!
Oh God, Why isn't there 48 hours in a day instead of 24 hours?
These are the common words spoken by the young generation today who actually fail to plan their day wisely and eventually end up with failure.
Time Management is the term apt here. We put our hands in every kind of attraction, we go by our choices and by our passion, we go by the trends and fashion, but we fail to give justice to everything that we do.
Time Management is the key player which can handle everything and anything wisely and still leave you with enough time in your hand to enjoy your life.
REASONS FOR INEFFECTIVENESS IN ACADEMICS:
FAILURE IN KNOWING YOUR POTENTIAL: Many learners overestimate themselves and their potentials. They fail to recognise their capabilities that one should take up only those task that he or she is confident with.
PLUNGING WITHOUT DEEP THINKING: Young learners dive into too many things without giving a second thought. They fail to think deeply over the particular task to be undertaken. They fail to analyse the different pros and cons of it in the present and for the future.
OVER- CONFIDENCE PILED UP: I will do it easily dude! You don't worry! Is the common saying of the youths. Overconfidence is the major factor that drops a learner to a great extent.
FEAR OF OVERBURDENED SYLLABUS: Fear among the learners that it's really too much to study and practice, thereby underestimating self that 'I am sorry I cannot do' thou having enough potential to accomplish and achieve success.
POOR PLANNING AND PREPARATION: Poor preparation and planning before starting any new task leads to ineffective performance.
Here is the list of 10 Effective Ways To Increase The Rate Of Success In Academics By Managing Your Daily Routine Wisely:
BE CLEAR IN YOUR GOAL FOR THE DAY:
The very first key to be successful in academics is to be clear in your goal. A goal should be easily achievable, and within the reach of your potential. Do not frame high competitive goals which you cannot achieve. Keep your goals very simple for execution and implementation.
NOTE THE TASK IN A DIARY/NOTEBOOK:
Start your day by jolting down your day to day schedule in a notebook or a diary. This will enable you to be clear and systematic in your approach. Make a detailed schedule of all the tasks with time specifications in order to ensure that not even a single minute goes waste.
PRIORITISE THE WORK:
After you finish preparing your detailed schedule, mark the tasks which are highly important with the red ink so that you are always alert that you have to pay special attention towards accomplishing those tasks first.
DEVOTE SPECIAL TIME TO STUDY:
To be successful in academics doesn't mean that one has to sit the entire day and do night outs and study so hard. Absolutely NO. Because what matters is the quality of your study and not the quantity or amount of time spent. Have a smart approach towards your study. Give a minimum of 2 hours everyday and be qualitative.
REMEMBER TO TAKE A TIME OUT FOR PLAY:
'All work and no play makes jack a dull boy' is a popular proverb. Yes it's absolutely right in our life too. We have to keep a balance between academics and also give equal importance to the physical development of a child. Ultimately leading to holistic development. Physical activities on a daily basis should be carried out for minimum of one hour or 30 minutes as it helps to refresh a learner mentally fit and active.
TRACK YOUR HEALTH:
Learners have a habit of skipping meals due to the different kinds of pressure that they experience or they adjust by eating the yummy junk and fast foods available outside or they do not maintain a proper time for eating meals. By doing this they put their health at stake. Remember always to have your proper balanced meals on time to have a healthy mind, heart, and brain.
As the quote says, “IT IS HEALTH THAT IS REAL WEALTH AND NOT PIECES OF GOLD AND SILVER.” – MAHATMA GANDHI
ALLOT TIME FOR ASSIGNMENT & HOMEWORK:
Due to poor time management skills, the learner always experiences a burden in finishing the homework, assignments and projects on or before time. The habit of procrastination is the major factor that grooms in and eventually delays everything as it comes in the way. Schedule a special 30 minutes to 45 minutes daily to finish your work load and then to wait until later, when it may get worse and take longer to deal with.
As the quote says ' “ A stitch in time saves nine" - Dr. Thomas Fuller
BRUSH UP THE LEARNT TOPICS:
Retention power of a learner increases when you do a regular revision of the topic learnt. It is not necessary that you allot separate time to do this, but you can revise the things very well when you are eating, getting ready, taking a bath etc. One can also make a quick referral note while studying which will help you out for easy and quick revision.
RELAX ON THE WEEKENDS:
Weekend relaxation is the key to rejuvenate our body and mind by involving ourselves in certain outdoor activities or hobby classes or family and friends outings or get together or a trip to a nearby location. The basic idea behind this is that instead of your regular daily schedule, do something that you love and enjoy on the weekends.
TAP YOUR ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
At the end of the day keep a track of whether or not you have been able to achieve the things that you planned for in your schedule. If not, then carry forward that specific task for the next day and complete the backlogs first and then start your new day's schedule. Give extra time if required but finish the task with full justice.
So what are you all waiting for? Get up and get going, plan your day, prepare your schedule, track your performance and finally see your goals being easily accomplished.
All the Best!!!
Have a Happy Learning!!!!
