Know The 12 Magnificent Ways To Be Focused In Your Work

“The successful warrior is the average man, with laser-like focus.”

- Bruce Lee

Having started the  work over the accomplishment of our dream, giving 100% for it, sacrificing family and friends time, ignoring the loved ones, banning social meetups, forgetting to smile, missing those special days of life, frequent night outs, stay away from people, losing self are few of the wise steps that we normally take for the process of fulfilling our dream. And suddenly something strikes in between the process and we lose that FOCUS over our work. Slowly, after a few weeks we start losing our interest in that work and move into a transitional phase wherein we blame all the other non biological factors for not being supportive and encouraging in your work. And finally we give up our work or give an unsatisfactory approach saying that 'It's not my cup of tea'.

Life brings many moments where it offers plenty of positivity around you but it is we who fail to identify those opportunities by being busy in not so important works. Focus is something we all are struggling with. Even after knowing your strengths and potentials we fail because we are not focused on our work. We do certain tasks considering it as your job or as daily chores but not as your passion.

The student who tops the nation in standard 10th board  will not be the topper for standard 12th board too. The best employee of the corporate world  is never the same. The best actress and actors are not the same every year.

COMMON FACTORS AFFECTING FOCUS:

  1. Day Dreaming

  2. Lack of Physical Rest

  3. Poor Mental Health

  4. Technological Distractions

  5. Noisy and Disturbing Environment

  6. Unhealthy and Unbalanced Diet

  7. Poor Time Management

Here Are  The 12 Magnificent Ways To Be Focused In Your Work:

  1. Be Clear In Your Ideas:

Be organized and systematic in framing your ideas and giving it a right path to enable you to land with success. Ill framed and poorly organized work lacks the ability to focus and fails to get victory. Be clear in framing achievable goals with simple objectives to reach over it. Ideas should be clear, crisp, well planned, beneficial, constructive and creative.

  1. Reality Over Reelity:

Time puts us in such a filmy mood that we tend to forget the real world and start living in reel life expecting great things to happen in our life without doing any hard work or putting extra effort. Daydreaming is the factor which pulls us away from our focus. Hence, One should learn to accept the reality and live in reality and frame our moves accordingly so that we give our best in everything that we take up as a new challenge.

  1. Frame Timeline:

When we take up any new task which requires at most attention and focus we fail to manage our time wisely and eventually end up giving up the task considering it as a difficult one and too time investing. But if we learn the wise ways to divide our every single day to learn and perform that work judiciously in order to finish it before the deadline then nobody can touch you in achieving success. Every individual is blessed with 24 hours in a day, which is enough for a normal man to manage it wisely giving justice to every important thing in his life.

  1. Gulp the daily dose of healthy nutrients:

Being busy in our daily chorus, busy college life, busy work life, busy family life, exerting day and night, toiling hard to get success in our work but still we fail to focus on our work. The food habit is to be blamed. Busy metro life offers limited time to focus on eating. We prefer quick and fast foods over homemade nutritious foods. To boost your ability to focus on your work, eat/drink more: Blueberries, green tea, avocados, leafy green vegetables, fatty fish, water, dark chocolate, flax seeds, and nuts. These 9 brain foods will help  you to improve focus and concentration.

  1. Avoid bad company:

People you hang out with leave a lasting impression on your health and work life to the extent of affecting your overall well-being. Bad friend circle not only keeps you away from focusing on your work and working on your goals but will also pull you away from every good thing that you initiate for the fulfillment of your dreams. They will never let you do great things in your life. So be surrounded with people who can help you with enough motivation and guidance to carry on your work with full dedication and devotion, thereby helping you to achieve victory over it. Choose friends who are equally talented, creative, hardworking, helping and loving.

  1. Keep Mobile Phone Away:

The major evil of the 21st century in everybody's life is the Technology. Yes, mobile phones create a lot of distractions in your life which keep you away from focussing on your work. Every moment we are just thinking about what's new happening in and around other life. Instagram, WhatsApp, Facebook, Twitter etc are good when used wisely for gaining knowledge and not just for killing time. Use technology wisely, allot special time for it but avoid it when you are deeply engrossed in your work. Limit your screen time and explore the ample time left for your other creative jobs. The 24 hours of a day is too long for you to conquer your dreams. Give it a try.

  1. Choose Tranquility:

Choose a quiet and peaceful surrounding area when you work. It helps you concentrate and focus better than a messy and unorganized workplace. Ensure to keep your workplace beautiful and always pleasing with good photos, motivating thoughts, future goals, enough light and soothing and sober colours around etc to boost you positively towards your goal and help you to give your best in every work you take up. Keep your mind and brain cool before initiating any work and plan out the strategy wisely.

  1. Take a break:

Never sit on any task for a continuous long period as it will induce fatigue and boredom, thereby losing focus on your work. Follow the 20-20-20 rule in every work, that is every 20 minutes look for things 20 feets away from you and wink your eyes 20 times. This rule works wonders. Take small breaks for casual walks or drinking water, taking a sip of tea or coffee, grabbing some sweets or delicacies etc. Intermittent break helps you to continue your focus for a longer time without your brain getting drained.

  1. Cherish Nature's Beauty:

Trailing in nature's bosom can be very relaxing and soothing for your mind and brain when you have a really hectic schedule with minimum time to cherish the nature around us. Nature is the god's free gift for healthy living with the power of natural healing to be free from stress and a tiring lifestyle. Take out time to visit nature on your balcony or nearby garden to have a relaxing session. Observe the beautiful trees, chirping sound of the birds, the blossoming flowers, ripening of the fruits etc.

  1. One at a time:

Plan to do things one by one. Do not take on many tasks at one time unless you lose your concentration and focus on a particular work. Multitasking is a good approach but it won't help you to focus better on the specific task which would require more time and patience. To pull complete focus towards a particular task, do things systematically and sequentially as it will give you better clarity over your progress snd understanding. Do not initiate things all at one time as it will only lead to confusion and frustration if you are not able to do justice over it.

  1. Sufficient Sleep:

When people don't get enough sleep, their attention and concentration abilities decline. Their reaction time lengthens, they're inattentive, and they don't respond as well to environmental signals. That means they can't take in new information or react to dangerous situations. Scientists measuring sleepiness have found that sleep deprivation leads to lower alertness and concentration. It's more difficult to focus and pay attention, so you're more easily confused. This hampers your ability to perform tasks that require logical reasoning or complex thought. If it continues, lack of sleep can affect your overall health and make you prone to serious medical conditions, such as obesity, heart disease, high blood pressure (hypertension) and diabetes

  1. Stable Mental Health:

Mental health includes our emotional, psychological, and social well-being. Unstable mental health affects how we think, feel, and act as we cope with life. It also helps determine how we handle stress, relate to others, and make choices. Mental health problems can affect a student's energy level, concentration, dependability, mental ability, and optimism, hindering performance. Research suggests that depression is associated with lower grade point averages, and that co-occurring depression and anxiety can increase this association. Mental health is important at every stage of life, from childhood and adolescence through adulthood and aging. Talking about your feelings and staying in touch with your family and friends can help you stay in good mental health and deal with times when you feel troubled.

Feeling powered and charged. Do not delay. Get up and start working on your dreams by implementing these ways and see your dreams flourishing and turning to reality.

Remember,

“Whenever you want to achieve something, keep your eyes open, concentrate and make sure you know exactly what it is you want. No one can hit their target with their eyes closed.”

- Paulo Coelho
