Expectations Of Educational Organizations From Newly Trained Teachers

With the growing smartness of the youngsters in the field of teaching and education, the traditional essence of teaching and it's methodology is losing charm significantly. India produces millions of D.Ed/B.Ed trained teachers every year, but among these millions only the creamiest of the youngsters are able to get into smart organizations with their smart approaches, Whereas the others are just left with a kind of adjustable mode of organization.

Ever wondered, Why is this happening? Why are we facing rejection even after getting trained? Why are we not seeing a growth in ourselves? Why is our salary so poor? Why did the organization prefer my friend then me? Why was I not chosen in the campus interview?

And many more questions of  such kind surround us when we see our friends' qualifying interview and demo test.

'Teaching is a profession which creates other professions'

In this article I am going to enlist a few points on which newly trained teachers need to ponder on and work upon in order to create great opportunities for themselves.

  1. Maximum in Minimum Resource

Every organization looks out for someone who can put in the maximum effort and do the maximum work in the limited resources provided by the institution. Be it limited in salary matters or the other school infrastructure. A person who has the ability to give their best ignoring the surrounding ambience stands a strong chance of being selected. So, Be flexible and adjust with the organization's provisions to get the best experience as a start up.

  1. Action in Personality

Having just a great personality with good physique and appearance is not what a true teacher requires. A teacher should always be in action 24*7, her personality should speak volumes through her actions. As greatly said, 'Action speaks louder than Words'. A teacher's action should be a driving force for her students to transform their life from darkness to light, from myth to fact, from unknown to known and from fear to confidence.

  1. Expert in Content

Adding multiple qualifications and degrees against our name doesn't make us an expert. Our scientific thinking, creative thoughts and irrational approach towards any concept is what makes us an expert. A teacher should always love the content that he or she teaches. It should not be restricted only to the textbook but should go beyond it. Developing reasoning and questioning skills is what is desirable to become an expert in your subject. So spread the wings of knowledge by referring to thousands of articles and research papers being published on your subject to be up to date and spread the updated information.

  1. Fashionable in Technology

It's the world of E - Learning that we are surrounded with. With the change in the system, the approach towards technology in the education field has greatly impacted today's learning phase to a greater extent. Being fashionable and showing off yourself on social media and networking sites is not what is expected from a teacher but one needs to be highly fashionable in using all kinds of tech skills to make learning easy, interesting, interactive and engaging for a student. Explore the different technology and techniques available for teachers in order to improve your teaching learning process.

  1. Sharp in Management

A good teacher is a good manager. The one who is able to manage and balance personal, professional and social life has a well disciplined and peaceful life free of any kinds of fear and stress. A teacher should be very smart in managing her work. Be it managing her portion completion, tackling and providing guidance to students, solving queries of parents and handling the works given by school principal or management. Our personal, professional and social life should not get affected in any way by either of these factors. Each should be well managed at its own level without any factor interfering with other factors.

  1. Leader in Attitude

A good leader is a good teacher. Our attitude towards our thinking, our passion towards our profession and our approach towards our work greatly impacts the life of a teacher. As a teacher we should always keep ourselves oriented towards becoming a future teacher leader and the skills required to be a future teacher leader. A positive attitude and Yes - Yes and It's Possible approach towards any difficult task is what is desirable from each.

  1. Clever in Presentation

Teachers leave an everlasting impression on the organization and the students by her unique teaching and presentation skills. A teacher should always be watchful and careful about her presentation in the school and in the classroom and try to find out multiple ways to excel more on a daily basis by updating herself. A teacher should be clear, crisp and precise in her words. Presentations should be healthy and involve learning activities for the students.

  1. Punctual in Completion

Punctuality is what is lagging in most of the teachers today. Be it punctuality in time, in submission of academic work or in completion of syllabus. Lack of punctuality leads to failure of a personality. The one who doesn't respect the time, even time never respects him. So as a beginner be very obedient to time, follow it devotionally. Set a bright picture of yours in sight of others and etch your name on the organization.

So work on these 8 keys before you start your hunt for your dream job in the teaching profession. Be prepared and give your best. Prove to the organization that you are the best deserving candidate for their Institution to flourish and grow to higher scales overall.

Hopefully the article has helped you to grow in your profession. So start preparing yourself on these pointers and see the weightage you carry over your other friends of the same profession.

Happy Teaching!!!
